Kenneth Walker, 55, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born in Chesterfield County, SC on March 22, 1958 son of Carrie Blakeney Walker and the late Jason Walker. Private burial services will be held at a later date. Public viewing will be held Tuesday evening, May 14, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Lavern H. Walker, his mother, Carrie B. Walker, son, Kenneth Lamar Walker of Monroe, daughter, Sabrina W. Grimsley of Charlotte, brothers, John Walker of Monroe, and Ben Walker of Augusta, GA, sisters, Mary Ann Marsh of Monroe and Carolyn Jean Sturdivant of Wingate and 5 grandchildren.
