Kyle Davis Plattenburg

On Monday morning September 28th, 2020 Kyle Davis Plattenburg, a father, son, brother and friend suddenly went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 30. Kyle was born on November 9th, 1989 in Charlotte, NC to Eric and Chelle Plattenburg. Kyle was an avid outdoorsman. He had a passion for nature and wildlife. At only 10 years old he doubled up on his first two turkeys and his first big buck. He continued to share his love for hunting with others throughout his life by taking many friends and even his little sister on their first kills. You always knew you were in for a wild ride with Kyle. He loved to make others laugh with either a song or one of his infamous sayings. Kyle loved spending time outside with his two sweet girls caring for his goats, building swings, or taking them for infinite golf cart rides. Kyle is so loved and will be fiercely missed by countless friends and family. Kyle will be forever remembered by his two precious daughters, Kylee Mae & Emmaree Rose Plattenburg, parents Eric & Chelle Plattenburg, sister Taylor Plattenburg (Daniel Morris), Mamaw Carolyn Street, Grandpa Tom Plattenburg, Aunts & Uncles Kenny Street, Dave & Sally Duncan, Hayne & Pat Plattenburg, Gene & Lisa Plattenburg, and Cousins Charity Broyhill (Bobby), Kyle Broyhill, Heather Duncan, Cheryl Smith (Franky), Jennifer Lloyd (Mark), Melinda Thornton, Dustin Plattenburg, Travis Plattenburg (Jennifer), Sidney Plattenburg (Laura), Ashley Parson (Brandon), Tyler Rape (Jeremy), and numerous other members of the family. Kyle has been reunited with his late Grandma Emma Knox Plattenburg and Papaw Dwight Kenneth Street Jr. The family would love for any and all to come celebrate Kyle’s life on Friday, October 2nd at 1:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service in 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112 Monroe, NC. The family will receive friends & relatives following the celebration. In lieu of flowers, the family will be honoring Kyle’s name in a unique way to benefit wildlife management. More details to come.
