L. T. Asher

L. T. Asher, 85, passed away July 29, 2011. He was born in Brookfield, MO on April 21, 1926, son of the late John Reily Delbert and Sylvia Mae Riedl Asher, he is also preceded in death by a sister Rosalee Asher. Mr. Asher was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a retired U. S. Army veteran and server during WWII. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Mr. Asher is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia Pat Bates Asher of Stedman; daughters, Patsy Asher of Red Bluff, CA, Linda Lanthorn of Wade, NC and Judy Long of Monroe; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
