L. "Bill" L. A. 'Bill' Simpson

L. A. “Bill” Simpson, died Friday, July 13, 2007, native of Union County son of the late Polly Byrum W. Brice Simpson. Bill was the owner of L.A. Simpson Machine Company since 1964. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 15, 2007 in Gordon Funeral Chapel, with entombment to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. He is survived by his loving wife Donnie Helms Simpson, one son Mark (wife) Lynn Simpson, two daughters Jan S. Plattenberger (husband) Gary, Beth S. Fisher (husband) Bobby all of Monroe, two brothers Mickey Simpson (wife) Judy of Matthews, David Simpson (wife) Judy of Monroe, two sisters Sharon Rosebrock, of Charleston, SC, Linda Small of Lancaster SC, six grand-children Adam Simpson, John and Dan Plattenberger, Tom, Robert, and Charles Fisher, and loyal companion his yorkie Millie. The family will receive friends Sunday July 15, 2007 from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe.
