Landis Arnold Presson, 79, of Waxhaw, NC passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025. He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on March 7, 1946, son to the late James LeRoy Presson and Florence Twitty Presson. He is also preceded in death by his stepson, Shaan Stegall, grandson Christoper Plyler, great granddaughter Maykala Woodard.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.

Landis is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Nancy Helms Presson, son, Nick Presson (Gretchen), daughter, Christie Plyler (Carter), stepson, Mark Ivey (Kara), stepdaughters, Lisa Johnson, Brandy Washington (Rob), 9 grandchildren, Martin Frady (Ashley), Kristin Frady, Will Ivey, Tabitha Washington, Zach Washington, Hannah Washington, Andrew Presson, Lindsey Kirkley, Amy Plyler, 16 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Johnny Presson (Barbara).
