Dateline: Indian Trail, NC Larry Eugene Hammonds, 60, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Larry was born in Union County, NC, October 3, 1948 son of John Hammonds, Jr. and Eleanor Starnes Hammonds. Larry was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Keeter Hammonds in 1988. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Larry is survived by his parents John and Eleanor Hammonds; daughter Sondra Love and husband Randy of Indian Trail, NC and step daughter Rhonda Harrison of Monroe, NC; brother Garry Hammonds and wife Penny of Pageland, SC; sister Diane Poole and husband Eddie of Waxhaw, NC; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 1:45 PM, prior to the service at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
