Larry Wayne Helms

Larry Wayne Helms, 69, of Indian Trail, NC passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. He was born in Union County, NC on July 13, 1955, son to the late Burvin Helms and Myrtle Chavis Helms. He is also preceded in death by his two brothers, Gene Deese and Jimmy Deese.

Larry was the proud owner of Larry Helms Floor Sanding and Refinishing Inc. of Indian Trail for over 40 years.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Patricia “Pat” Aldridge Helms, their two sons, Michael Helms (Melanie), and Brian Helms (Amber), brother, Horace Helms (Robbie), sister, Carol Starnes (Loyd), three grandchildren, Shelby Helms Tate (Austin), Gunner Helms, and McKenzie Helms.
