Larry Albert Hollis

September 24, 1945 - February 17, 2026

Marshville - Mr. Larry Albert Hollis, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Born on September 24, 1945, he was the son of the late Lloyd Theodore Hollis and Johnsie Nash Hollis Thomas.

In addition to his beloved dog, Zoey, Mr. Hollis is survived by his brothers, Tim Hollis (Pat) of Fleetwood, NC, and Fred Hollis of Monroe, NC. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew: Lynn Sweeny (Greg), Mark Hollis (Stephanie), Shannon Pierce, Christine Tran (Long), Sharon Harris (Gregory), along with many cherished great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Haley Price for her friendship and for caring for Zoey when needed. They are also grateful for the many friendships Larry formed at Unity Outreach Ministries and Wagon Wheel, where he enjoyed good conversation and delicious food.

Larry worked in construction for many years and took great pride in his craft. He was also honored to serve his country in the National Guard.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, February 21, at 3:00 p.m. at Unity Outreach Ministries, 1218 Hwy 205, Marshville, North Carolina 28103.
