Larry Lee Hough Sr.

Larry Lee Hough, Sr., 80, unexpectedly passed away Monday, September 5, 2022. He was born in Mecklenburg County on February 23, 1942, son of Gabe David Hough and Pauline Ernie Hough.

Larry was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 40 years, retiring in 2002. Before his retirement, he served as shop steward with the National Association of Letter Carriers for many regions. His interests included a collection of antique tractors, motorcycles and historic collectables. Other interest included deep sea fishing with his family and raising, showing and trail riding with his many horses.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00PM, Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.

Larry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diane Plyler Hough, and sons; Larry Hough, Jr. of Stallings and Mark Hough of Waxhaw, and daughter Pam Wilson of Charlotte. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Gabe Hough, Matthew Wilson and Madison Wilson. He had great love and pride for his family, as each of them had for him.
