Larry McKinney Starnes, loving husband, father, and grandfather of Waxhaw, NC passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023. He was born in Union County on February 22, 1943, son to the late Daniel Hoyte Starnes and Arlie McKinney Starnes.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Judy McManus Starnes, and sons Shannon Starnes and Josh Starnes and daughter Angie Calabretta (Art), sisters, Ann Holmes and Cynthia Daniel, two grandchildren Daniel Calabretta and Tyler Starnes.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Charlotte, 4530 Park Road # 240, Charlotte, NC 28209.
