Larry Ray Schlappich

Larry Ray Schlappich, 88, of Monroe, NC passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. He was born in Reading PA, on October 4, 1935, son to the late Charles Schlappich and Fern Bricker Schlappich. He is also preceded by three brothers, four sisters and one grandchild Kyle Schlappich.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, December 1, 2023, at New Hope United Methodist Church, burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00AM until 12:45PM at New Hope United Methodist Church, 3221 Plyler Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28112.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Della Lou Carpenter Schlappich, four sons; Allen Schlappich (Tabitha), Jeff Schlappich (Cindy), Pat Schlappich (Leslie), and Jason Schlappich (Amy), half-sister, Phyllis Cruz, half-brother, Ron Wanner, nine grandchildren; Crystal Parker, Jennifer Webb, Kody Schlappich, Kari Osborne, Justin Schlappich, Grey Cook, Logan Schlappich, Dylan Schlappich, and Braelyn Schlappich, seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, 3221 Plyler Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
