Larry Kenneth Wilson

Larry Kenneth Wilson, 79 years old of Monroe, NC passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 after a battle with Cancer.

Larry was born on February 13, 1943 to the late Kenneth and Bobbie Wilson. Larry served in the United States Army, and after returning home, worked the textile industry for many years. He later went to work for Monroe Hardware, which is where he retired.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, 1106 West Sandy Ridge Road, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00PM until 1:45PM, at the church.

Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, family was most important to him. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Carol Plyler Wilson, his two daughters; Lisa Wilson Williamson and Laura Wilson Creech (Travis) his five grandchildren Trent Horne (Ashlyn) Olivia Williamson Nathan Williamson Ashley Creech and Eva Creech and one great-grandson Ryder Horne. He is also survived by three siblings Don Wilson (Peggy), Cheryl Williams (Gore) and Kim Wilson (Donna).

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
