Lawrence “Larry” Friend of Waxhaw, NC passed away Monday, June 11, 2018. Larry was the son of the late Fred and Elvira Winn Friend. Larry served his country as a US Navy Veteran. He also served Union County Public School as a school bus driver. Funeral services will be private. Larry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara, step-son Nick Herron of Waco, TX, two brothers, Norman Friend, wife Linda of Eau Clare, WI., Fred Friend Jr, wife Nan of AZ., two step granddaughters Taylor and Hannah Herron, one step grandson Daniel Herron Several Nieces and Nephews.
