Lawrence Warren Jordan

Lawrence Warren Jordan of Monroe, NC transitioned peacefully to be with our Lord on February 19, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on February 6, 1947 in Syracuse, NY.

He grew up in the Mottville/Skaneateles area and was a 1965 graduate of Skaneateles High School. He spent his working career in Retail Management. Larry was a volunteer fireman for the Mottville Fire Company for over 25 years. He built his family home in Mottville, NY. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, yard work, reading, bird watching, and spending time with his grandson. He volunteered some of his time working as a steward for the International Eastern Wine Competitions and the New York State Fair Wine Competitions. Larry never missed an episode of Jeopardy. He was a grill master, with burgers as his specialty.

Larry was predeceased by his parents C. Robert and Genevieve Jordan, his brother, Robert Jordan, and sisters, Barbara Jordan and Esther Jordan. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Cynthia (Pille) Jordan, his caring daughter, Sara Sayre, her husband, Buck Sayre, grandson Noah Hagerty, and his grand dogs Bo, Scarlet, and Phoenix. He’s also survived by his sister Diana VanAken (Bill) and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Gordon Funeral Services and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC.
