Dateline: Monroe, NC Lesley William Parr, 83, passed away September 21, 2012. He was born July 8, 1929, son of the late William and Cletus Hill Parr. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Parr Kolivas, son, Terry William Parr, brothers Kenneth and Robert Parr and sister Ula Parr Vealey. Mr. Parr was educated at Newton High School, Newton, NJ. He worked as an AI (animal artificial insemination technician), a vet tech, was Maintenance Manager for Jefferson Village Apartments, was a guitar instructor for 40 years and owned L J Parr Trucking Company. The memorial service will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lynda Ferguson and Associate Rev. Matthew Smith officiating. The family will visit with friends from10:00 until 11:30 a.m. The burial will be private. Mr. Parr is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Joyce Y. Parr, who always faithfully stood by him; his daughter Dianne Moser and husband Wayne S. Moser of Monroe; son William Parr of Branchville, NJ; son, Chris Parr and wife Lisa of Beaufort, SC; son Greg Parr and wife Bonnie of Marshville, NC; sisters, Elizabeth McPeek of Moore, SC and Joycelyn Decker of Waxhaw; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
