Leslie “Stuart” Greene, 69, of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. He was born in Union County, NC on November 6, 1955, son to the late Lonnie Hampton Greene and Llane Love Greene He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Kisha Tarlton and son-in-law, Chad Tarlton, as well as his brother, Rodney Greene.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church, 6223 Love Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28110 with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive family, friends and loved ones prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM in the church sanctuary.

He was the proud owner of Monroe Automotive for over 30 years, as well as the Fire Chief of New Salem substation 5 for 15 years. He was a beloved Friend, Son, Brother, Father, and PawPaw. Stuart was an avid fisherman, astounding mechanic and if he wasn’t doing either of those things he was spending time with his family. He would most likely call you “bubber” and tell you to “Get er done”.

Stuart is survived by his loving wife Robin Secrest Greene, daughter, Nicole Mullis-Blackwelder (Ryan), brother, Clark Greene (Sonya), and three grandchildren, Keniston Mullis (Jacob), Brice Mullis, and Bella Blackwelder as well as an abundance of loving nieces and nephews and extended family members who were so dear to him.
