Lessie Price Broome

Lessie Mae Price Broome, 75, of Monroe, NC passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born in Lancaster, SC on October 24, 1948 daughter to the late Walter Price and Lillie Mae Twitty Price. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerome Sutton, grandchild, Joni Hagen; brothers, Melvin Price, and Roy Price; and sister, Ruby Gladden.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 27, 2024, in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Service with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Lessie is survived by her loving husband Ernest Wayne Broome, son, James Sutton (Janis); daughters, Penny Burnette (Brent), Candace Jacobs (Shawn), Cynthia Griffin, and Jennifer Taylor (Vance); twelve grandchildren, Ethan Burnette, Brandon Mullis, Christopher Shelton, Timothy Shelton, Kaitlyn Shelton, Hannah Raley, Kendyle McClain, April McClain, Matthew Stegall, Andrew Griffin, Zeek Griffin, and Zayden Griffin, as well as twelve great-grandchildren.
