She was born in Lancaster County, SC on February 27, 1926, daughter of the late Wesley and Lula Small Whitaker. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 3:00 PM in Walkersville Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Knight is survived by her daughters, Shirley Rollins of Waxhaw, Mary Lou Catledge of Citronelle, Alabama, Barbara Nelson of Elgin, SC and Lillie May Pressley of Mooresville, sister, Louise Dockery of Romeoville, Illinois, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
