Lillie Estelle Tucker, 100, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was born on November 15, 1914, daughter of the late Joseph Samuel and Allie Horne Collins. Mrs. Tucker was a Christian mama who was always there for her family, with a loving and giving heart for all those around her. Mrs. Tucker is survived by daughters, Rutha Mae Marshburn of Monroe, Maxine Phillips of Temperance, Michigan, Doris Walters of Lancaster, SC, Joyce Renfroe and Nancy Helms, both of Monroe, brother, William Hoover Collins, of Monroe, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mack Tucker. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
