Obituary

Linda Joyce Anderson, a devoted servant of God, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered eternal rest at her home in Monroe, North Carolina, on August 26,2026.

Born on December 26, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was one of 6 children. Linda dedicated her life to walking in the grace and love of Jesus Christ. As the wife of a pastor, she joyfully embraced her calling within the ministry, serving faithfully in every aspect of church life. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her family, and her life was a testament to the power of Christian devotion and selfless love.

Linda was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Ronald Anderson, on September 20th, 1963. Together, they built a life rooted in faith and family. She was blessed with four beautiful daughters: Nanette Lyle (and her late husband, Randy), Kathryn Sweetwater (husband William), Rhonda Lee (husband Rodger), and Michelle Herrera (husband Robert). Her legacy of love continues through her 13 cherished grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Beyond her active involvement in ministry, Linda found great joy in going to Disneyland and in the simple pleasures of life, she loved learning about her family ancestry and documenting genealogy for future generations, coin collecting and frequently gathering with family and friends for competitive and playful games of marbles, dominoes, and card games.

Linda passed away peacefully, surrounded by those she loved most. While her earthly journey has concluded, her family takes comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Heavenly Father. She is preceded in death by Edith Hale (Mother), Henry Hickerson (Father), Arnold Anderson (Grandson), and baby Sprout.

“Well done, good and faithful servant... enter into the joy of your lord.” — Matthew 25:21
