Linda Helms Biron

Linda Helms Biron, 71, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 at Pruitt – Union Pointe Skilled Nursing Facility in Monroe. She was born August 9, 1952 in Monroe to the late Wade Helms and Lessie Phillips Helms. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Jimmy and Kenny Helms.

A graveside service for family and friends to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at Lakeland.

Linda is survived by her son, William Matthews of Monroe and her sister, Judy Helms of Indian Trail.

Linda was a graduate of Monroe High School and UNC-Charlotte. She was retired from Union County Public Schools as an Exceptional Children’s teacher, having primarily worked at Wolfe Development Center and Benton Heights Elementary School.

Because Linda was an avid animal lover, in lieu of flowers, she requested memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Union County, Inc., PO Box 101, Monroe NC 28111.
