Linda Privette Simpson, 70, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Pruitt Health-Union Pointe. She was born November 27, 1945, in Union County, NC to the late Brady A. and Lillie Howard Privette. Mrs. Privette was a 1964 Graduate of Piedmont High School and retired from Conbraco where she was an assembler. A member of Love Baptist Church, she also provided in home care to numerous families over the years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Joanne Courtney, Lucille Strawn, and Betty Purser; and two brothers, Edmond Privette and Eugene Privette. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Simpson Rich of Monroe; three grandchildren, Jackson, Mason, and Matthew; Jimmy Simpson, and wife, Tracy; and fifteen nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at 3:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with relatives and friends from 1:30 to 2:45 PM, prior to the service, at Gordon Funeral Service.
