Linda Medlin Helms

Linda Medlin Helms, 79, of Monroe, NC passed away Friday, June 18, 2021. She was born in Union County on December 31, 1941 daughter to the late Clegg Leander Medlin and Thelma Helms Medlin. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband David Eugene Helms. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Roanoke Baptist Church, 618 Roanoke Church Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. Burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service from 11:00AM until 12:45PM in the church sanctuary. She loved her family and enjoyed spending quality time with each one, she loved to paint and quilt. She was a life long member of Roanoke Baptist Church. Linda is survived by her daughter, Julie Helms Smith, husband John of Monroe, son, Steven Eugene Helms, wife Margaret of Monroe, sister, Barbara Medlin Price of Monroe; two grandchildren, Kerri Blanton and Jason Smith; two great-grandchildren, Corbin Donnahoo and Justice Smith.
