Linda Helms Laney

Linda Helms Laney, 79, of Monroe, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. She was born March 2, 1942 a daughter of the late Curtis and Faye Long Helms. She is also preceded in death by her husband Donnie Lee Laney, two sons, Ryan and Scott Laney, a sister, Barbara Byrum and a brother, Buck Helms. Linda worked over 60 years at Dunn Manufacturing and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Funeral services for Linda will be held from the graveside 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas Rumley officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery. Linda is survived by a sister, Sharyn Estridge of Monroe, three grandchildren, Bridgette Laney, Kayla Mullis, Donnie Laney, five great-grandchildren, Mark Mitchell, Aubrae Helms, Josiah Rowe, McKinley Helms, Hagan Helms.
