Obituary

Linda Moore Price, 89, of Monroe, NC passed away on July 6, 2026. She was born in Union County, NC on June 26, 1937, daughter of the late Henry Moore and Thelma Hartis. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, William Homer Price Jr., two daughters, Maria Griffith, Kathy Fincher and husband Darrell Fincher, son, William Lee Price, son in-law, Stanley Clontz, grandson, Matt Fincher, brother, Wilson Moore and wife Eugenia Moore.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1417 Unionville - Indian Trail Rd W, Indian Trail, NC 28079, with burial to follow at Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM until 10:45AM in the church sanctuary.

Linda was a homemaker who adored her husband and family and loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved children and was a children's Sunday school teacher at Ebenezer Baptist Church for years. She also kept many of her grandchildren after school and during summer vacation. She loved to sing and was in the choir at Ebenezer for many years. She loved to tell and sing of how much she loved Jesus and even during Alzheimer's could sing all the words to her favorite hymns and recite Bible verses.

Linda is survived by daughter, Lisa Kerr (Jim Kerr), son in-law, David Griffith, daughter in-law, Patti Price, nine grandchildren, Belinda Spurlock (Seth), MaryBeth Phillips, Jennifer Spidel (Ryan), Brandon Clontz (Tara), Christi Melton (Dustin), Will Griffith, Mia Griffith, Andrew Price, Steven Price, great-grandchildren, Ethan Spurlock, Darren Spurlock, Evan Spurlock, Lane Spidel, Luke Spidel, Henley Clontz, Sawyer Clontz, Kacie Plyler, Kaden Melton, Jacob Melton, Jameson Melton, a brother, Jimmy Moore (Jo), two sisters, Elva Simpson (Jerry), and Wanda Bryant (Dennis).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1417 Unionville - Indian Trail Rd W, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
