Lula Mae (Lovett) Herring

Lula Mae Lovett Herring, 79, died Friday, February 22, 2013. Lula was born in Bladen County, NC, December 11, 1933 daughter of the late Norman and Irene McClain Lovett. Mrs. Herring was also preceded in death by her husband Elray Herring. Lula loved her church, gardening and flowers. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Unionville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Herring is survived by three sons, Donald Ray Herring and wife Diana of Troy, NC, Steve Edward Herring and wife Kimberly of Mooresville, NC and Mark Allen Herring and wife Susan of Monroe, NC; sisters Christine Freeman and Arbutis Freeman of Bladenboro, NC; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
