Lula Catherine Milton, 89, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015. She was born in Union County, NC on March 8, 1926 daughter of the late William Daniel and Bertha Hinson Napier. Mrs. Milton was a nurse in the office of Dr. George Oleen, kindly serving many residents of Union County until her retirement. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 1:00 until 1:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Milton is survived by a sister, Margaret Simpson, a sister-in-law, Annie Napier and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyndon Milton, brothers, James Napier, Rev. Jack Napier and Arthur Napier, sisters, Ethel Griffin and Wilma Shubert.
