Lynn Temple

Norman “Lynn” Temple, 70, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was born in Union County on November 27, 1945, son of the late Floyd Dewitt and Ellie Bowers Temple. Mr. Temple enjoyed his church family, especially his Sunday School class, Emmanuel, which he taught for over 20 years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, hardly missing a ballgame between all five of them. Farming with the Couick Brothers Farm for over 46 years was a pure joy, along with poultry farming for over 25 years. Traveling was his outside passion with many friends and family members. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 7:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Indian Trail, NC. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 5:00 - 6:30 PM prior to the funeral. Burial will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Temple is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Rollins Temple; daughters, Robin Temple Laney and husband Mike of Monroe and Sonya Temple Nash and husband Ron of Hope Mills, NC; and grandchildren, Brad Laney, Myles Laney, Miah Nash, Kerrigan Laney and Macy Nash.
