Mabel R. Dye, 97, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019. She was born on February 9, 1921 in Orange County, NC, to the late William Thomas Roberts and Eugenia Laws Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rush Dye, and her step-granddaughter, Traci Rousey. Memorial service will be held 11:00am on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Marshville United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Bruce Handy. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Mabel is survived by her son, Joel Dye (Cynthia) of Marshville, and her daughter, Celeste Helms (Rusty) of Marshville, two step-daughters, Barbara Rousey (Bobby), and Camilla Ivey (Billy) all of Georgia; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
