A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Wingate Baptist Church, 109 E. Elm St. Wingate, NC 28174.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 PM to 1:35 PM in the church fellowship hall.

Macie Lee Michael, 91, of Wingate, NC passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023. She was born in Clover, SC, on July 4, 1931, daughter to the late Chester Lee Ensley and Lucy Kitchin Ensley. She is also preceded in death by her brother Bobby Ensley as well as her two sisters Dorothy Auten and Juanita Parrott-Cole.

She was a member of Wingate Baptist Church for over 58 years. After retirement she and Harvey went on three mission trips to Ukraine, serving for over 9 weeks. They also served as volunteers in South Africa, constructing playground equipment adjacent to a church where they aided in conducting children’s services.

Macie is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Harvey Michael, their three sons, David Michael; Tim Michael (Laura); and Chris Michael, and one grandchild Scott Michael.
