Madeline Stegall Rushing, 94, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017. She was born in Union County on September 5, 1923, daughter of the late Julian and Willie Gaddy Stegall. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Rushing. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Wingate Baptist Church, 109 W Elm St, Wingate, NC 28174 with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM. Ms. Rushing is survive by two sons, Carroll Rushing, wife Maxine and Eric Rushing, wife Gail, three daughters, Debra Simpson, husband Larry, Zondra Dobbins, husband Mike, and Trina Horne, husband Rob, brother, Jimmy Stegall, sister, Joyce Thomas, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
