Mr. Malcom Leichfield Seale, son of the late Mr. Harold Seale and late Mrs. Genetta (Walcott) Seale was born on March 2, 1938 in Christ Church, Barbados West Indies. He departed this life on Tuesday February 23, 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Malcolm was a lifelong mechanic by trade. He started as a mechanic in Bridgetown, Barbados. Then he moved on to work for the Fisheries Division under the Ministry of Agriculture of Barbados working on boat engines. He then progressed to serving on various transport ships around the globe as a Fitter and Greaser. Upon moving to the United States in 1968, he began work as an Auto Mechanic at Kingsboro Volkswagen in Brooklyn, New York. He later worked for Bay Ridge Volkswagen Porsche Audi in Brooklyn, New York. After retiring from the dealerships, Malcolm worked for himself as a highly regarded mechanic of import and domestics cars in the community. Malcolm leaves behind his wife Maudlene (Maude) V. Bourne-Seale of Waxhaw, North Carolina; son Malvin M. Seale and his wife Erin of Wesley Chapel, North Carolina; Sister, Doreen Ometa Seale of Brooklyn New York; Brothers, Victor Seale of Brooklyn, New York, and Casper Colin Seale and Bernard Seale of Barbados, West Indies. Malcolm is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews across the United States, Canada and United Kingdom as well as close relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 3607 Andrew Jackson Dr., Waxhaw, NC 28173. Entombment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
