Marcine Griffin Robinson, 87, of Waxhaw, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Hospice of Union County. She was born March 31, 1928, in Union County to the late Roy Vann Griffin and Lois Hinson Griffin. Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of Lander College and retired after 33 years as a teacher with Union County Public Schools, having taught at Mineral Springs Elementary and Western Union Elementary. She was a member of Mineral Springs United Methodist Church, where she was active with the United Methodist Women, was former choir director and pianist. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed traveling with her husband on many trips and often traveled with the Cattlemen's Association. She is survived by her husband, Dewey Nall Robinson; children, Tammy Robinson Case and husband, John Edward Case of Waxhaw, Barry Scott Robinson and wife, Kathy Hardee Robinson of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Dewey Vann Robinson and wife, Pam Ross Robinson of Statesville; grandchildren, Jessica Case Barmashi, Jordan Case, Jonathan Robinson, Amy Robinson Harris, and Ross Robinson; and one great-grandchild, Benjamin Robinson. The family will visit with friends and relatives on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Mineral Springs United Methodist Church in the CLC, 5915 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Rd, Monroe, NC 28112, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon in Mineral Springs UMC. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
