Margaret Jean Cole

Margaret Jean Simpson Cole, age 88, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020. She was born in Union County a daughter to the late Samuel and Margaret Huey Simpson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Cole, and her brother, Bill Simpson. Jean was a retiree with the City of Monroe where she was employed for many years. She is survived by her two sons, Tim Hinson (Debra) of Camden, SC and Terry Hinson (Barbara) of Sumter, SC. She is also survived by two sisters, Carolyn Starnes of Waxhaw, NC and Helen Van Huss of Rock Hill, SC, and a brother, Benny Simpson of Monroe, NC. Jean has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Jean was fondly called "Grandma Jean" by her family. A private graveside service will be held at Lakeland Memorial Park.
