Margaret Jean Hubbard

Mrs. Margaret (Dean) Secrest Hubbard passed away Friday, December 30, 2022. She was born December 15, 1932 daughter to the late Roy L. and Virgie Moser Secrest. She is also preceded in death by her husband Elton Hubbard, oldest son Billy Roy Hammond, sisters; Betty Crook, husband Holmes, Joyce Plyer, husband Roy, and a great-granddaughter Zoeie Helms.

She was able to celebrate her 90th birthday just a few weeks ago with family. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy. She spent her life loving her children and grandchildren unconditionally and always putting their wants and needs ahead of her own. Her strong family value was her greatest legacy. She will live on in each of the hearts of her family forever.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Gordon Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.

Mrs. Hubbard is survived by her children, Tommy Hammond (Mary), Cindy Smith (Bobby), Terry Hammond (Angie), Clint Hammond (Trish), Janet Wiese (Doug), daughter-in-law, Patty Hammond, grandchildren; Tracy, Jesse, Jamie, Misty, Jessica, Jennifer, Jacob, Kristin, and Seth, and Ten Great Grandchildren.
