Margaret Ellen McInnis, 84, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017. She was born in Cabarrus County on March 29, 1933, daughter to the late Ralph and Alma Eudy Sechler. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William Donald “Bill” McInnis. Ms. McInnis enjoyed the fellowship of being a part of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church sewing group. She also enjoyed serving others through Loaves and Fishes at St. Paul Episcopal Church. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 909 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Ms. McInnis was survived by two sons, Doug McInnis, and wife Lori of Polkton, David McInnis, and wife Tracey of Monroe, brother, Ralph Sechler Jr., and wife Rayma of Kannapolis, three grandsons, Sam, Daniel, and Dylan McInnis, great grandson Tyler McInnis, niece Lori, nephews, Scott Randall, and her sister-in-law Georgeann.
