Dateline: Monroe, NC Mrs. Margaret Clo Nash, 75, of Monroe, NC passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 peacefully in her home in the loving company of her children. She was born August 31, 1933 in Union County, NC, the daughter of the late Charlie and Eva Manus. Mrs. Nash was retired from GM Nameplate and a member of Love Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mitchell Nash; her brother, Jim Manus; her sisters, Effie Helms, Elizabeth Hinson, Lee Stuart, and Margie Manus and her grandson, Joseph York. She is survived by her children Vicki Helms and husband Gary, Sherry Sikes, Randy Nash and wife Jean, and Dawn York and husband Greg, all of Monroe; seven grandchildren, Stephen Barnette and wife Kim, Brandi Thomas and husband Jonathan, Jeremy Nash and wife April, Tia Williams and husband Jerry, Chad York, Travis York, and Kayla York; five great grandchildren, Colby Barnette, Trevor Barnette, Grayson Thomas, Alexis Thomas and Nadia Williams. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren, seven great step-grandchildren, and one great great step-grandchild; one brother Pete Manus and three sisters, Della McGowan, Roxie Ballard and Lydia Medlin. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe NC. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM in Emmanuel Baptist Church 3816 Morgan Mill Road Monroe NC 28112. She will be laid to rest at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
