Margaret Ann (Holton) Spratt

Mrs. Spratt, of Aldersgate Retirement Community and formerly of Monroe, NC died on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Hospice Home of Union County. She was born in Shelbyville, TN, July 11, 1928 and was the daughter of Clarence Marion Holton and Della Mae McCamy Holton. She leaves us to keep her memories of a life filled with love. Mrs. Spratt was proud of her family and happiest when they were all gathered. She used her time on earth as a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker to show how to combine kindness, strength of character, and sheer willpower to greet each day as a gift. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Frank Stowe Spratt, Jr. and survived by her three children; Gail Spratt Holford and husband, Delbert of Charlotte, Frank Stowe Spratt, III and wife Cynthia “Cindy” of Monroe, and Mary Ann Spratt Green and husband Mark of Charlotte; four grandchildren; Lori Holford Garmon and husband Daron of Concord, NC, Brian Holford and wife Jenny of High Point, NC, Joshua Spratt of Charlotte, and Cameron Green of Washington, DC. A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery where Mr. and Mrs. Spratt had been members 33 years prior to moving to Monroe.
