Margaret (Greene) Stegall

Much loved wife, mother, mawmaw, sister, daughter, and friend, Margaret Greene Stegall, 61, passed away July 30, 2015, after a twelve year courageous battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Zion United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Fish Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow in Zion Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal service, in the church sanctuary. Margaret was the daughter of Billy Morris Greene and Dorothy Purser Greene. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Margaret is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kenneth Stegall; her two daughters, Jennifer Taylor and Amy Drake and husband, Chad; seven grandchildren, Brooke and Jordan Taylor, Carson Turner, Nicholas, Brady, Addy, and Evan Drake. She is also survived by three sisters and brother-in-laws, Carolyn and Stephen Braswell, Linda and Rick Edwards, and Darlene and Randy Jenkins. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Wade Taylor. Margaret had a very special place in her heart for all of her grandchildren, whom she loved very much. She will always be in our hearts and we will forever remember her smile and encouraging words.
