Marlene Threatt McCauley WINGATE - Marlene Threatt McCauley, 74, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013. She was born January 5, 1939 in Chesterfield County, SC, daughter of the late Hayde Edgar and Mary Agnes Green Threatt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Edward McCauley on November 16, 2011. She was owner and operator of Marlene's Beauty Shop and loved her dog Charlie. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Monroe City Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at Marlene's home. Mrs. McCauley is survived by her sister, Delane Ivey of Catawba, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Union County, P.O. Box 101, Monroe, NC 28111.
