Marsha Wilson Hendershot

Marsha Jean Hendershot passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1943, to Bill and Sudie Wilson with whom she is now reunited.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

She was blessed to have shared sixty-three years with her husband, Don. Together they enjoyed spending time together sitting on the front porch as well as traveling together to many places, spending time with family, and just sharing life together. Marsha was the loving mother of her three children, Michael, Michelle, and Monica, and a dear grandmother to Chris, Bob, D.J., Marlaina, Dylan, Dakota, Dalton, Hailey, and Hannah, and great-grandmother to Marsden, Vera, Alice, Billie, and Phoebe.

Marsha enjoyed flowers, birds, sunrises, and sunsets that were never far from Marsha’s line of sight. She loved being in the outdoors and could often be seen stooping to pull a weed out of a flower bed, or looking high above the trees in search of a bird whose song caught her attention. She was an avid Duke Fan and loved spending time with her family. She and Don enjoyed numerous camping trips to both the Mountains and the Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28112.
