Martha S. Baucom “Mott”, 72, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. She was born in Union County, NC on March 8, 1944 daughter of the late David and Virginia Mills Starnes. The family will receive friends Friday, July 22, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The funeral service will be held in the Gordon Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Martha is survived by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Baucom, son, Daryl Baucom, daughter, Robin Baucom, all of Monroe, brother, Danny Starnes of Ansonville, sisters, Betty Lou Helms (Brownie) of Indian Trail, Sue Griffin (Bill) of Monroe, grandchildren, Brandon and Jeremiah.
