Martha Threatt Burgess, 77, died the evening of February 12, 2019 at Novant Health, Matthews, North Carolina. Born December 27, 1941 to the late Ell and Myrtle Pope Threatt. She is also preceded in death by a brother Ken. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Gordon Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, 12:30 pm-1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. She is survived by two sons, Rodney and Brian (Lisa); two granddaughters, Morgan and Megan, a sister Doris Wheeler; three brothers Charles (Linda), David, and Ron (Barbara); a sister in-law Sue B.
