Martha (Elmore) Hill

Martha Elmore Hill, 72, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. She was born August 4, 1940 in Mercer County, WV, daughter of the late Wade Lee and Pansy Mullins Elmore. She is also preceded in death by a sister Hazel Barton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in Central United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Martha is a graduate of Oakvale High School, and attended the University of Charleston West Virginia formerly known as Morris Harvey College. She was also a former long time member of Stinson United Methodist Church in Princeton WV, before joining Central United Methodist Church in 1999, and a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star of Princeton, WV. She was a 30 year employee of Mercer County Bank in Princeton WV. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Steve Hill, daughter Deborah H. Gambino and husband Jeff of Charlotte, two grandsons that were her pride and joy Robert and Steven Gambino, and a brother Jerry Elmore of Smithburg, MD. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.
