Martha Jane Jenkins Helms

Dateline: Monroe, NC Martha Jane Jenkins Helms, 72, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012. She was born in Mecklenburg County on October 29, 1940, daughter of the late Dexter Wilford and Eliza Haney Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Carl Helms, Jr. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Gordon Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Mrs. Helms is survived by a son, Tim Helms of Monroe; daughters, Sandra Williams of Matthews and Amanda Stegall of Indian Trail; brothers, Troy Jenkins of Myrtle Beach, SC, Henry Jenkins of Charlotte, Nelson Jenkins and Earl Jenkins, both of Huntersville; sisters, Pat Haigler and Bert Haigler both of Marshville and Diane Glassburg and Cathy Faile of Lancaster, SC; and five grandchildren.
