Martha Ann (Mccullough) Stevens

Martha Ann McCullough Stevens, 74, died Monday, September 12, 2016. Ann was born in Mecklenburg County, NC, August 1, 1942 daughter of the late John David and Ollie Thomas McCullough. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Allen Stevens, Sr. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at West Monroe Baptist Church, 1212 Icemorlee St., Monroe, NC. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Stevens is survived by son Marvin A. Stevens, Jr., and wife, Carla, of Monroe, NC; daughter, Courtney Stevens-Garrison and husband, Lane, of Monroe, NC; brother, Johnny McCullough and wife, Linda, of Woodstock, GA. She graduated from Garinger High School, Class of 1960, and Wingate College, Class of 1962, with an Accounting Degree. Mrs. Stevens worked for the Federal Government on the Draft Board, was an IRS Auditor, and was a Budget Analyst for the Army Corps of Engineers. She was a licensed Insurance Agent and currently served as Vice President of Superior Home Medical, Inc. Mrs. Stevens was a member of West Monroe Baptist Church where taught Sunday School and directed the Children's Choir. She was a godly woman and set an example to her children and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, September 15, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
