Marty David Moore

Marty David Moore, 57, of Monroe, NC passed away after a brief fight with cancer on Sunday, August 21, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born August 27, 1964 in Union County, to Donald Lee Moore and Jean Tarlton Moore.

Marty graduated from Wingate College with a bachelors in business. He went on to become an entrepreneur and self-employed general contractor. He enjoyed the company of his family more than anything. In his spare time, he loved spending time at the beach, at his lake house, riding his Harley and watching a good game of Duke basketball.

Marty always tried to touch the lives of everyone around him positively in more ways than one. Many people have benefited from his kind heart and his good deeds over the years. The fond memories will forever remain in our hearts. He will be truly missed and his legacy will live on forever.

Funeral services will be held at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. A private graveside service will follow for the immediate family.

Marty is survived by his parents, Donald and Jean Moore; son Christian (Maranda) Moore; his daughter Rainey (Jonathan) Moore; his fiancé, Holly White; her daughter, Savannah White; and his beloved dog Charlie. Marty was preceded in death by his brother Donald Gregory Moore.

In lieu of flowers, Marty requested that donations be made to American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
