Mary Lee (Dowless) Blackburn

Mary Walters Blackburn, 86, had her children by her side when she passed away peacefully Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was born July 27, 1926 in Anson County to the late Marion Lester and Addie Tucker Walters. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clarence Blackburn, and a stepdaughter Susie Blackburn Oxford. She is survived by her sons, Bobby Dowless Sr., and William Dowless (Patricia); daughters Judy D. Spears (Julius), and Paula D. Jones (Keith); stepdaughter Rita French (Gary); a son-in-law Robert Oxford,16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM, Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
