Mary Catherine Moose Carter passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017. She was born July 17, 1927, daughter of the late Hugh Monroe Moose and Beulah Cress Moose. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Lee Carter, a sister Evelyn Kindley, and two brothers, John Ira Moose, and Gene Baxter Moose. Funeral Services for Mrs. Carter will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:30am in St. Luke's Lutheran Church 909. Circle Drive Monroe, NC with Pastor Christopher Metze officiating. Burial will be at St John's Lutheran Church 100 St. John's Church Road Concord, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30am until 11:30am in the Church Fellowship Hall. Mrs. Carter is survived by her son, David Carter of Marshville, two daughters, Patricia Schlotfeldt of Winston-Salem, NC and Barbara Carter of Matthews, NC, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a sister, Hazel McCoy of Stanley.
