Mary Elizabeth Allen Coan, 73, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024. She was born May 8, 1950, in Stanly County. NC daughter to the late Henry Luther Allen, Jr & Lorena Brandenburg Allen. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Nelson Coan, two brothers: Jimmy Allen, and Henry Luther Allen, III, and a sister Barbara Rollings.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mary was survived by her son Nick Evans, daughter Nicolle Hope, two sisters; Amy Allen, and Carolyn Allen, three grandchildren; Trevor Hope, Madison Hope, and Evie Evans, and several nieces and nephews.
